           oh believe me i have tried my friend , he swats me away like a fly ! i told him they were hera's words and not mine , why shoot the messenger ?
            
            * he sighs dramatically , before pausing for a moment to hear his words . in true honesty , he had no clue why he sent him down almost all the time , and it was getting annoying doing a whole lot of nothing whenever he watched over him *
            
                            well , perhaps your brother is simply ... concerned for you ! after all , the sons of cronus are extremely .. tight knit no ?

            “ well..  i can’t say i’m surprised i haven’t had any complaints thus far but don’t take this as a common occurrence .  ” homer only scowled lightly before his expression relaxed , a sigh left him as he leaned back into their shared couch .  “ it just so happens that i needed a break from the world .  plus we don’t have any classes right now .  and enough with the ‘mortal’ talk .  ”

            Zeus did not answer immediately. The wind around the balcony tightened, curling through marble columns as if it had learned caution in his presence. Above them, the storm shifted—less theatrical now, more attentive. His gaze remained forward, fixed somewhere beyond Hades rather than on him.  “…Fortunate is an interesting word.”
            
            Only then did Zeus turn slightly, just enough for pale light to catch the edge of his expression—unreadable, composed, but no longer idle “if something is wrong on a scale I have ‘been fortunate enough to ignore,’ then you’ve already decided I am responsible for it” his eyes flicked to Hades at last—calm, assessing, sharp in their stillness “that usually means one of two things.”
            
            A beat “either you are wrong…” The silence stretched, heavy as thunder held back “…or Olympus has already begun moving without my permission” his hand rested lightly against the stone railing, the sky answering with a distant roll of thunder that didn’t quite arrive. Zeus studied him for a moment longer, voice lowering—not louder, but heavier.
            
            “Tell me what you’ve seen, brother” a slight tilt of his head “and decide quickly whether you are warning me… or accusing me.”

                stopping a measured distanced from zeus , pale eyes would lift towards the skies at the storm he always seemed to wear as crown . `` dramatic as always .. you assume death is the only reason I would leave my domain . ``

            as for homer , he personally enjoyed the outdoors .  while not taking classes in his first round of college , he would often take walks or even jog at times around this very same park .  which clearly hasn’t changed much since the last time he was here .  soon the mortal would turn to face hades , keeping a simple pace .  “ for some fresh air .  plus maybe this could be another chance for me to prove to you just how great this planet is and us ‘mortals’ who inhabit it .  ”

               `` eugh ... `` hades lagged behind , eyes narrowed as if the outside personally offended him . he much prefer the darkness of their room than the bright sun . `` why are we out here again ? ``

            homer could only sigh , rubbing the bridge of his nose which pushed up his glasses a smidge .  soon a pair of brown eyes met the deity again , sure , the second-round college student had his own familial issues but not to this extent . “ what ?  i’m trying to look on the bright side with ALL of this .  ” which is something homer tried to do often , especially with the fact he still had to prove his point to hades in order to get into elysium .  “ from the two i’ve met aside from you..  sure  ,  they’ve got their ‘quirks’ but they’re still family .  ”

               the smile immediately drops , shoulders loosening as he exhales long and tired . `` ' not as awful as the myths ' he says . `` a quiet scoff left at hearing that . `` there's a reason I avoided the family gatherings , I'll have you know . `` and now this campus roamed with such family now . made him dread this place even more .

            it was the weirdest sight to witness in their short time of knowing each other , perhaps smile and laughter weren’t fitting for a lord of the dead .  or maybe just unusual lookin in homer’s case .  “ alright  ,  alright—  you can drop the act now .  ” he wavered his hand .  “ doubt he’s as awful as the myths portray him to be .  or what i can remember of them anyways..  ”
