He made her happy. She could not describe how. Was it his looks? His voice? The way he smiled at her and she walked up to him to fall into his hug? Maybe it was the little chill bumps that appeared on her arms whenever his lips touched hers. Maybe it was the galaxies she saw when she looked deep into his hazel eyes. Maybe it was the late night calls, the adorable dates, or her favorite smell which sat upon his t-shirt. Maybe it was the memories. The time together, the time apart. The hardships, the joyful times. Or maybe perhaps it was just him. His existence. The fact that there was someone in this hectic world that lifted her off her feet and made everything go away. All her pain, her worries, stress. He made everything better. Perhaps it was just simply his very being that made her happy. And with this thought her curiosity was satisfied.

Alone. Even in a crowd of a thousand faces she felt it. Alone. Even with the people she loved the most, she felt it. In her favorite places, she couldn't escape it. It was there. It was always there. Loneliness. What caused it? She couldn't understand, it was just always there. She felt alone.
