          Raven looked over to her, but before he could even take a step, he felt lips on his cheek. He realized that Jason just kissed his cheek and blushed madly. Raven ran back to Ms. Angel, hiding behind the matronly woman. Ms. Angel laughed to herself at the small child's behavior. She took the kids back to her kindergarten classroom. When they got there, it was play time. Raven went to the cars and pushed them around. "Hey, lovey-boy!" Raven groaned when he heard that voice come from behind. That was the nickname that Liam had given him, since his birthday was on Valentine's Day. "Leave me alone, Liam. I don't wanna play youw stupid games." Raven said, still pushing his cars around. "I don't care. I saw you get a kiss from a guy!" He said. Raven blushed when he remembered that moment. "So? You get kissies fwom the twins all the time!" Raven growled. "That's because they're my girlfriends, stupid head! And it doesn't matter, cause it's okay to get kisses from girls. Not guys." Liam said. "Why?" Raven asked. "Because the giant, invis-ble cod in the sky says it's a bad thing!" Liam said. He was trying to say God, but he's five, he can't really speak English very well. Raven was about to speak again, but the lunch bell rang. All the kids lined up and walked to the cafeteria. Raven got his food and sat down at a table, all by himself. He began to eat, thinking about the kiss on the cheek that Jason gave him. Then he heard a familiar voice, "Hi Raven! Can I sit next to you?" It was Jason. For some reason, the second graders were having lunch with the kindergarteners. Raven nodded, letting Jason sit next to him. After a minute or two, Raven heard Liam shouting "Lovey-boy" at him. Raven groaned and looked over. Liam blew a raspberry at him while the twins stuck their tongue out at him and held their fingers up in an L shape. Raven glared at them and looked back at his lunch with watery eyes. "What's wrong?" Jason asked. 

Random Short Story, Part 1~
          
               "Alright kids! It's time to pick a reading buddy!" Ms. Angel said to the little kindergarteners. All of the children cheered and walked around in the class of second graders. The teacher smiled at the sight, and looked down at her side to see one little boy hiding behind her. "Go ahead, Raven. Go get a reading buddy. Don't you want to learn how to read that book with the fireflies?" She asked him. He nodded and held the book tightly to his chest. Raven took a deep breath and walked out from behind Ms. Angel and into the crowd of older kids and peers. He looked around, seeing everybody already having a reading buddy. Even the Albany twins, and they were really gross. Raven kept walking around, looking for someone who hasn't partnered up yet. While not looking where he was going, he bumped into somebody. He looked up and saw an older boy with red hair and emerald eyes. The older one smiled. "Hi there! I'm Jason, what's your name?" He asked. Raven was a bit too embarrassed from running into him to be able to say his name, so he just held up his book. "You want me to read the book for you?" Jason asked. Raven nodded and Jason smiled again. "Okay! Let's go sit down." Jason said and went to a chair with Raven. Jason sat in the chair and pulled Raven into his lap. Jason opened the book and began to read it to Raven. While Jason read the book aloud, Raven looked around the room and noticed that he was the only one sitting in his reading buddy's lap. He blushed, embarrassed at the possible taunting. Before he knew it, reading time was over and the kindergarteners had to return to their class. Raven pushed himself off of Jason's lap with some help from the red-haired boy. "I really like being your reading buddy! Can't wait to do it again." Jason said happily. Raven only nodded in reply. "Raven, it's time to go back to class!" Ms. Angel said.
