I adore that your story is based on exact facts from World War II (it's my favourite part from history because of how tragic, dramatic and sad it was, history is based on these three sentiments but this phase was more brutal), I also love the fact that your story has an excellent ammount of paragraphs, usually the books in historical fiction are either too long or too short. In other words I totally recommend it for a beginner in this category!

I love how descriptive and unique your story is, I can understand perfectly how Kat felt and the story's concept is something that I've never saw in any other paranormal book, I recommend it to anyone that loves the anxious feeling of unknown!
