@tokkije I totally understand cause I've had the same issue with one of my stories where people still can't see that the character of mingi is tho influenced by past trauma  yet is very shitty and that I am not going to bias my idol and ruin my story by glorifying the wrong actions he does with hwa. I did rather get hate for killing a character or showing them a complete douchebag than make them do nasty shit and have ppl find it hot. If the character is meant to be wrong then it is wrong and not hot. Majority of Wattpad readers just find books to read smut or shit like that just to satisfy their fantasies without caring of the actual story and it's sad to see that cs we writers and up suffering in the end(":

@tokkije damn I completely understand this one cause same, I hate how people are often so blinded by fanism that they forget that what they are reading is still a well formed story that can be a stand alone with original characters too and when they would be reading it with ocs they will hate or if they are horny kids than they will still love it instead of actually seeing the point of a story is THE STORY ITSELF and what it is trying to show which in your case was trying to show a toxic relationship and not lusty scenes but ppl are too engrossed in them to notice the actual message of the book
