Tom Anstead discovered his passion for storytelling while serving as a Naval officer aboard an aircraft carrier in Japan. After leaving the Navy, he pursued this calling by earning an MFA in Film Production from Boston University, where he began writing and directing films, including Almost Me. Following several years in film and television, Tom expanded his creative and professional horizons with an MBA from the University of Michigan.

His short fiction has appeared in The Sun and Bards and Sages Quarterly, and he continues to explore stories that reflect the complexities of life, loss, and resilience.

Tom was married to his beloved wife, Amy, for fifteen years before she passed away from breast cancer in 2017. Today, he is a devoted father to their two daughters, who remain at the heart of his life and inspiration.
