kind of advice, if you are having a hard time keeping yourself motivated to write (if you use writing software), format your works as if they were real books. it helps immensely

why does it feel like its harder to write fanfiction versus writing your own original works??? /ngen
like it feels so much easier for some reason (writing your own stuff)

fan fiction you have to try to match the feel of the original characters and making sure nothing is too out of character, whereas you have a LOT more freedom with your characters

@fairyskullzz if for whatever reason you want to listen to some chinese instrumental music, listen to "the fisherman's song at dusk" by hong ting, its my absolute favorite at the moment

@fairyskullzz now I need to decide if my book is going to be short chapter-wise and just make each chapter super long lmao, or if it's just going to be average length with sort of long (~2500 words) chapters... Like basically how light novels are actually written vs a regular novel
