Studied history at Portland State University and University of Hawaii.
Lived and traveled extensively in Japan for nearly four years. Also worked in Japanese pottery factory one day a week for three years. Lived in North Carolina four years and yes, just like Doreen in QUEENIE'S PLACE, I actually saw that Welcome to Klan Country sign. It was Easter Sunday, 1973. I'll never forget it.
