I'm in the process of hiring an editor for King of Havoc. If anyone else has done this before, can you tell me if I need the editorial assessment done first, or should I just start with the developmental edit? I didn't realize there are so many stages to editing, and I don't think I'll be able to pay for them all, considering I don't think my book will even make much money lol.

@torireneeharvey there are 3 kinds of editors: developmental, line, and copy. I would start by researching each one and figuring out which one your story needs the most. I'm also hoping to publish my books eventually and I've decided to forego a developmental editor altogether since I feel it is something I can do on my own (with the help of beta readers, of course). Ive done a lot of research into this topic so if you have questions, feel free to ask ❤️
