          a nurse at metro general hospital ,  working to keep those on their way out as comfortable as possible .  her heart big but under duress .  
          
          she grew up in a loving home ,  with her mother and older sister —  her father in and out of the picture .  when he was in the picture it was never good .  begging for money ,  manipulation ,  promise that we’re always broken .  diane always got her hopes up ,  every time .  and every time he would leave her disappointed .
          
          and now she devotes her time to helping those who are no longer able to help themselves .
