The brunette sat across the desk from the other - the club room dimly lit and eerie as Monika watched her intently. Piercing emerald gaze never leaving MC, her chin rest against her hands.

MC wasn't sure on what to say. Her mouth was dry, and words began to fail her. The outside which should have shown bright blue skies was dark - swirling golden patterns which seemed almost galaxy like. Clearly not the bright summer sky she was so used to. It was only her and Monika here.

This was just what Monika had wanted.

It was no lie that MC was drawn to her, in fact she couldn't really help it. With an anxious gaze, she glanced down at her hands which were set neatly in her lap. She was beginning to forget the other members of the club now. Slowly erasing from her mind so all that was left was just Monika. "You got what you wanted."

She looked away again, pulling her hand just slightly out of reach of the others. Sayori had been her childhood friend. Yuri was just a friend she'd made along the way as well as Natsuki. All three girls been wiped from existence due to Monika's jealousy and want for MC to be hers.

She felt conflicted. A brief surge of pity for the other...Monika clearly did love her. But MC was maybe ever so slightly humoured - the brunette wouldn't submit so easily to what Monika was wanting. Instead of a playful demeanor, more of an anger seemed to boil. She wasn't aggressive by any means, her motives clearly passive as she made to stand, delicate and pale hands splayed out on the desk as she leaned for support against it for a second, the situation rather overwhelmingly dizzy.

"They were my friends, Monika. What makes you think you could treat me better than they ever could?" MC quite literally bit her tongue to stop herself from talking further.

"of course, darling," she murmured, one hand taking it's place beneath her chin as she moved the other to reach for the shorter girl's hand. the slight tension against her jaw caused her words to come out with lack of tone.

"you would rather be here with me, /right/?" out of context, the words would have seemed.. passive aggressive. but the way her complexion reddened in a flustered manner at the idea - it seemed as if she had just given her some sort of compliment. "forget about.. yuri. sayori.. wow, i guess it's been a while since you heard that name, right?" a tender giggle left her soft lips and her hand slipped up to cover her mouth bashfully - "nevertheless. forget about them. nobody could treat you as well as i'm going to."

Monika's words brought MCs attention to her again, mismatched hues didn't really show fear. Maybe confusion. Maybe embarrassment that she was sat here with Monika of all people, someone who had always seemed like they were out of her league despite how kind and welcoming she was towards her - but despite the situation, the smaller girl did seem rather relaxed.

"I-" She'd sort of just let the words slip. Yet she kept her gaze level with Monika's tilting her head to the side. Brown locks framing her face. "You're alone with me...you wanted that, right?"

chloe had basically had enough of the other woman and her strange antics which were very v e r y far from normal - or maybe this was just an in the moment type thought that she didn't really mean. See, they were arguing. Arguing seemed to have become quite a common occurence between the two - which came only natural when you were in the presence of someone with a strange mommy kink and could quite easily kill you in your sleep if she so wanted to...which chloe hoped with fingers crossed would never actually happen because chloe was enjoying life. even if life handed her a plate of horribly made spaghetti for dinner.

but the reason for her upset was possibly just down to the way the other kept her here and how chloe had learnt of previous victims before her that had all met a rather painful and brutal end. It was the last straw - partially out of fear and confusion.

"you're a monster.." she let out breathlessly. they were in the basement, and chloe was eagerly looking for some way of escape. blue eyes darting to each corner of the room in search of maybe something to defend herself with in case her words caused everything to go south. "you're horrible!" she'd caught her voice now, but still...it trembled. did she really mean that? Surely she did. She was just acting in defense. She didn't care for Ana at all, right?..right? Her heart felt as though it had been gripped and pulled from her chest as the words left broken pink lips.

Burning laced her cheeks. Hot tears falling as she squeezed her eyes shut to stop them. She didn't want to cry. Being seen in such a vulnerable light made her feel weak - the confusion and fear getting tighter in her chest, her head pounding like a drum.

She didn't love her? What did Ana mean? Chloe knew for sure that she felt that way about her, that Everytime they'd argue and Chloe would say something horrible she would feel horrible about it later and constantly think about how just her words had probably hurt Ana. She opened her eyes. Blue eyes. They were gentle but they reflected the confusion Chloe felt about Ana.

"Do you...want me to go..?" Her words were said in a hopeless manner, gaze drifting away and falling to the floor below them. Her arms still wrapped tightly around her as she tried to find that comfort to calm herself down. To try and think reasonably. She didn't want to go. Her heart was aching and she was beginning to forget close family's faces, her co-workers, relatives, friends. But they didn't really matter now...not when she was with Ana. Someone who cared for her. She felt stinging at the corner of her eyes again and her crying just became pitiful as she tried to hold it back. "Please..I- I don't want too.."

"you.. you don't wan-wan't to go?" she gasped repeatedly, breath quivering as her hands lifted to grab at the roots of silky brown hair, pullint harshly and wincing at the pain she was causing herself. or maybe at what she had just said. after begging for.. weeks, months to escape, ana enduring every argument and insult, she /didn't/ want to leave? "how.. how could you be that- that selfish!?" she suddenly lashed out, her eyes opening to stare directly at her, tears streaking her cheeks.

she didn't even want her to leave, but her anger spoke over that thought as her hands began to shake, a light-headed feeling shooting straight up the back of her neck and into her head, spiking out like the thorns of a rose stem. "you don't-" ana swallow bile that was rising up from her throat, the words she was thinking about making her feel sick, "- love me. and i.. i don't think.. you ever will."

her words sounded like a final as the grip that made her skull ache began to get looser, arms falling to her sides in defeat, trying her best to ignore the stinging in the corners of her eyes and her wife slowly breaking into tears in the middle of her basement.

the thought of loving somebody.. it felt unrealistic. as though she would never find somebody who actually wanted to be there for her.. with her. but all she had done was given a girl stockholm syndrome; and as much as she read about it or thought about it, nothing had prepared her for the sickening reality of it.

"No, Ana-" It hurt her. The others crying and words tormenting the blonde in such a way she that she was far too caught up in her head - replaying the same words over and over again that she didn't realise she'd made her way towards the other..gentle yet strong hands wrapped around the others small wrists to lower her hands. "Please, Ana... I'm just scared.."

She sounded almost embarrassed to admit that. The fact she was afraid to show any affection towards the other due to her job. The confliction of what would happen if they were found and she, a police officer, had fallen in love with someone who had murdered people. It was a voice in her head that tried to reason with her. Telling her that the woman in front of her was just misunderstood. That Ana would never harm her. "..sorry. I'm sorry.." She muttered the same words, hands slowly releasing and letting go. She didn't want to let go but the fear in her chest mixed with all this confusion about her feelings was beginning to take a toll. She proceeded to hug her arms around herself. Just for some comfort. To try stop that ache that threatened to make her cry. "I don't...I don't want to go, Ana..."
