I saw your comment on my oneshot and as a trans person myself, I TOTALLY agree with your statement. There is absolutely no justification behind the action of misgendering someone on purpose, no matter what the backstory behind it!
I was mad at myself when writing the line, but I knew it would make the trigger for Jeremy to call Michael a loser more reasonable.

@gayshipsamiright and it did make it more reasonable. Instead of me thinking Jeremy was being an asshole to Michael I saw it as someone who was just insanely hurt by the one person they thought would never do that. Also your writing skills are amazing!
