do you guys believe in an afterlife?? (open for discussion)
I personally don't, but it's a nice thought. I mean, I just think that if there were eternal life after death, then why even have lives at all? eternity makes everything meaningless: our lives before, and our afterlives. putting away the whole science argument, bc I could go on and on, and that's not the point of a philosophical question, I just don't see the appeal to an afterlife. I personally think we are all just animals, because we are, and that our lives end like any other animals. I mean, think about it, what happens when a fly dies? It just ends. thats what I think happens to us too. but then that also raises the question... what is the meaning of life if we just... end when we die? I think that's up to us. I think *we* forge our own meaning with our connection with others and the way we live our lives.
