My mom just told me the saddest story from when she used to work as an assistant nurse and so I lowk started to overthink my whole future.

I’m gonna try to keep this short but basically there was this woman — not sure exactly how old she was but her children were in their like 20s — that had cancer. She was gonna die and I’m pretty sure they knew that it would happen soon so her daughter that lived in the United States (this was in Sweden) took a flight to go visit her and to say goodbye.

One hour before the daughter came home from where she lived in USA, her mother died. When her daughter finally came an hour later, she was like running and in a rush. “MOM!” she had yelled, but before she could get to her mother, a nurse pulled her to the side. She told her that her mother had just passed away and that she was sorry for her loss. My mom told me that her scream was horrible and heartbreaking. “NO” she screamed as she fell to the floor.

My mom was only about 20 here and had to go into another room to cry after. She is now 55 and when I asked her what the worst thing that had happened during her — I think 13 — years as an assistant nurse, this was the story that popped into her head.

I guess I don’t really have a reason for posting this except for just making you sad but I thought this story was really heartbreaking and I just wanted to make sure everyone remembers how fast you could lose someone and to really spend time with the people you love before it’s too late. Anyways, have a good rest of the day. You are loved and appreciated ❤️❤️❤️

@trauwd Thats such a sad story omg. I've heard similiar stories from my moms co workers, its sad but that's the reality of life when you think about. Each moment is fleeting and will never last forever, there's an end to everything, so cherish the moment your in right now and focus on yourself. Because it just wont last forever.
