YEAR 2023 RECAP.
hello, everybody!
turnip here! yes, i was inspired to do this by my dearest friend here on this platform @Scootnation4Life , and this is actually my first time doing this ?? hope i am doing it right.
to sum up this year, it was honestly such a painful progress for change. i hate change, and knowing it's quite the inevitable idea that i cannot grasp with hands as mortal as my own, i have to let it happen.
from what was being a grade 10 student to graduating after losing half of my junior high school experience, to becoming a grade 11 student in senior high school, sprouted into something bittersweet. i'm growing up too fast: my age doesn't even fit my grade and in just a year or two, i'll be off to college. crazy, huh?
from being a nobody who struggled with her grades due to culture shock all the way to becoming a first-responder, a journalist, AND a researcher within the first year of senior high, was something i never expected to happen. i didn't even think i'd make it past 14. yet, i did just that.
i miss the days when i used to be so active on here, and although i'm getting that back, it isn't the same anymore. one thing is for sure at this point: i'm back to enjoying writing. even if nobody reads my stories that much or if i still have some drafts on my part of the screen - it's better to have a slow burn of traffic more than getting everything at once then losing it the next minute.
it's almost christmas, and it'll be the first christmas where i genuinely am happy. it's still surreal that i made it this far, and i'm thankful for that. here's to another year <3 2024, please treat US well.
might have more projects in the future.
yours,
turnip
