the new laws are only going to increase the rates of illegal abortions, which are extremely harmful and deathly. so, by attempting to ‘save a life’ by banning abortions, in many cases, it will simply mean that two are lost instead.
it’s heart-breaking to see pictures of elderly women protesting, knowing that they are having to relive the misogyny of the world because truthfully, it is such a huge step back from the path to a society free of sexism.
