@testedsoul   sail to the smoking isles,  climb the black mountain and pray you don’t die in the first round  [he’d shrug his shoulders.  majority of the riders got their dragons the same way he did. young and when they were still eggs .  a young dragon for a young rider. wild ones resided somewhere east—he only heard stories.  the same went for those that lost their riders, tether broken—half dead, those were the real dangerous ones.]  …  the only way someone like you could get a dragon. you’re far too old to join the school (or at least what’s left of it).  but by the looks of it you’re doing perfectly fine all on your own!  [a pause,].  nothing much to work with,  really. 

wonderful;  uncertainty.  [his scowl at the dragon falters to a neutral,  almost bored expression as he sizes up the individual who may or may not be this beast’s keeper,]  how do i obtain one of those?

[the beast behind him—goldbyrne, stood still like the immovable force he was.  irises reduced to thin lines—a far cry from the usual wideness in the presence of his rider or those he understood meant the world to him.]    relax,   [shrouded in shadows, the king finally stepped forward —breaking the thick silent stand off between undead and dragon]      just because he can doesn’t mean he will … i think.
