@NOVALEIGH Thank you so much for your kind words!! I love that you understood what I was trying to communicate with War. His life was front loaded with challenges, but instead of War looking at all the positives that he also had (Sheas family, the club, SHEA!) he let insecurity outweigh all that he achieved. You are so correct .... he did wallow and throw away the very people that showed him how much they loved him. I really wanted to communicate that sometimes, it takes people much longer than I should to really understand how far they've come, and that they are in NO WAY less than, because of their unfortunate start. Life is so damn full of challenges that we have no power over....we ABSOLUTELY have control of our inner narratives! I wanted to show that War overcame that obstacle and devoted his world to showing Shea and the kids that they were loved and cared for. It took him a long time to(SOOOO many people hated his character and path), thank you for sticking with him!
