Do what you want. It's your story, so you can change it however you like. I am actually still new to this writing stories and sharing them to the world thing, and so far only two people have read my story, but you just have to write what you feel and what you enjoy. And to be honest, I love Hayes and Nash Grier, especially Nash's eyes, and I think that maybe you could find a way to integrate Hayes into your story. Maybe you don't have to change the whole thing, just change a few parts, or even just a few paragraphs and work with it. Hope I was helpful, lol.
