            as foolish as it was , he’ d sort of been hoping that it would work . unfortunately , the other managed to dodge it with ease , and donnie figured this was probably going to be as tedious as he had originally expected . “ you’ re not exactly a presidential security guard , ” he replied , pausing a beat before moving towards casey in a brief offensive of jabs , careful to resume a defensive stance when he finished , unwilling to lose this because of ego . well , unwilling to lose this at all , but especially not for a reason like that .

            casey was not as well trained as the other, but he wasn’t entirely new to training with turtles. though usually it was mikey who tended to goof off more rather than fight. while they were obviously at different levels of mastery, he knew better than to let someone sweep him. his pride simply wouldn’t allow that, especially not with the tallest of the mutant brothers. casey jumped out of the way from the others kick, “come on, dude, you could probably get passed the president security guards if you really wanted and you pull that?” he scoffed. he had expected for the ninja to throw a much more advanced move,  though  he was glad that he was still on his feet

            he opened his mouth to retort but decided it would be more effective to decide exactly how he was going to approach this , maybe even catch the other a little off - guard . he knew he had the advantage , but that didn’ t mean he couldn’ t lose , and he was / not / about to lose to casey of all people . he could handle getting beaten by his brothers , but this was different . he hadn’ t exactly figured out why master splinter had taken their weapons — well , one weapon and one hockey stick — but there was always a lesson with their sensei . donnie decided he wanted to get this over with quickly , almost as much as casey did , and swept his leg towards the other’ s , hoping to send him tumbling to the ground .
