VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ (and hopefully respond)!!!
I am not sure how many books of mine everyone has read, or even if y'all are aware of a story I wrote around seven years ago called "Letters to David." I wrote it when I was 13 and if I am being honest, I haven't even looked at it or tried to go through it again since I was probably 15.
While I was writing the story my sister followed me and was really impressed apparently and showed it to my mom without telling me, and my mom loved it and ever since I wrote that book my mom has been extremely supportive of my writing and has constantly asked about different writing projects I have done.
Although she is supportive of everything I do, there has been nothing she's loved more than LTD. Every single time I bring up writing or any struggles I am having she will give any insight and then finish off with "and you need to revisit and rewrite LTD." I might have mentioned wanting to go through it a few times to y'all, but I am not sure.
Now y'all might be wondering "emily why is it so important we read about this." Well, I just really need advice on how to handle this and I was talking with my sister and I thought "you know, out of everyone, I should probably ask the people who actually read what I write."
Here's the idea: For Christmas 2022 I want to be able to give my mom a physical copy of a rewritten version of LTD. I am struggling between wanting to self-publish or going through one of those private sellers that take pdfs and turn them into physical books, like for people who like to print their fanfictions. I want to hear y'all thoughts.
What I need to know is if anyone is willing to:
1. Beta read the story and check for mistakes
2. Buy the book if it is self-published (since it's not for making money, it will def be cheap haha)
Please respond with your answers, I obviously have a year to do this all but I want to be on top of it.
Thanks for reading this message, I love you guys so so so much!! :)
