It's like she made him graceful. He's truly anything other than grace and harmony – he's rugged and dirty and angry, but not with JJ he isn't. With JJ, Daryl will talk. He will smile and scowl and I imagine he makes her laugh when they are alone together.
I picture him making her laugh, and I can see it so vividly. I can see that he and her, well, they just make sense.
He looks at me and his eyes are sad, helpless. "I didn't know what to do." He says, and he's not even embarrassed to tell me. "It isn't that I ever wanted to be with JJ, Beth. It's that I started to need her, and somehow she found it in herself to find that beautiful."
