Toni Morrison said that unhappy childhoods make the best writers, and I feel that so bad LMAO. Although I wouldn't even necessarily say that my childhood experience is why I'm such a good writer. I've always been creative. it's definitely shaped how I write, the stories that I tell, and what I want people (especially you guys!) to feel as you read my work, like genuinely. Honestly, I think that’s also why it’s taking me a bit longer to drop my new book. I’m really taking my time with it because, once again, I’m pulling from my own personal experiences in a way. But yeah, just know it’s coming this month! <33
Girl, the way you pour your actual soul into your work is literally why your writing hits so different. Real talk, taking your time with something this personal is never a delay, it’s just proof of how much love and care you’re putting into it. Imma be waiting here regardless sjjsjskdkdkc but I’m so happy that the book is getting released this month like omg
Also just to add on, I actually do have chapters ready! (ahhhhh omg) I just like having a certain amount finished before I officially release the book. Once those first couple chapters drop, I’m writing the rest of the book right along with you guys, just like I did for my last two releases. I don’t plan out every single chapter ahead of time, I follow my heart, go where my mind takes me, and take feedback from you guys as we go. That’s how I’ve always done it and I’m never changing it I’m so serious when I say YALLS feedback is errrrthing ok ok ok gtg!
