            『  he watched her, shaking his head. he knew he would have been right. she should have just asked for his jacket, or just taken it. regardless, he was right. and he loved it.  』

( she grumbled something about not having needed the jacket in the first place, but it was undeniable that she hadn’t already melted into it, the warmth making her eyes close for several seconds. )

            『  a small smile appeared on his lips at her reaction. it was funny. she invited him to give her the jacket and that’s what he did. what? did she not expect him to do that?  』  “ is that better ? “

            『  tyler wasn’t paying any attention to what was around him. he was watching /her/. when he finally looked away, he was barely looking around for 5 seconds before looking back at her.  』  “ will you come back here then ? “

( she was silent for a moment, taking in the view of the place. it wasn’t that she didn’t like it, he simply hadn’t been all that focused on that aspect of it. he’d been occupying her mind. )    “ it really is. )

            『  he nodded, with a smile. he enjoyed being here. like he said, he would come here often for some peace and quiet, he enjoyed being alone, even if it was only for an hour or two.  』  “ i don’t blame you, it’s lovely. “

            『  he was extremely confused. he didn’t expect her to have relaxed so soon, and so suddenly. he watched her, and kept his hands close by her, just incase.  』  “ you don’t need to apologise, there’s nothing to apologise for. it’s okay, just breathe. you’re safe. “ 『  tyler just stayed close. he felt needed, he sensed something was off. he just watched her, and stayed sat on the ground. she looked weak, and she looked out of it. he frowned. he wasn’t sure exactly how to help.  』

( unable to think rationally, she seemed to have clung to him. there was no weeping, no sobbing— in fact, not a single sound left her other than the occasional sniffle. it took her much longer than she would’ve preferred to realize that the voices seemed to have lessened and quieted after her irrational outburst of seeking physical contact. )    “ i’m .. i’m sorry .. ”    ( she croaked out once the tears stopped, her body hesitantly pulling away from him. she didn’t want to imagine what she looked like to him. )

            『  tyler remained close to her, his arms wrapped loosely yet comfortingly. he watched her closely, he still wasn’t entirely sure what was happening, but he knew he shouldn’t and certainly didn’t want to leave her alone. she looked weak, and tired. so, he would stay. and he would hold her, and whenever she felt better, or if she ever did. he would be there for her, even then.  』
