Is this what we think it is? A new chapter in a new year, with new fights, deep talk and fluff? Hell yeah it is exactly that—a new chapter, one that had be beta read, improved and for some goddamn reason Wattpad either breaks down, fucks up or destroys my formation. So bros bronetts if the formation is off, you see weird spaces between dots, no idea what those are called but that one “ , ” Or just in general, it's not MY fault.

But you know me, I am an overperfectionist! And sadly, I can only put all my mind on one story at a time! Once I finish Act Four of MHBWY, I will start posting the first chapter of my Tokyo Revengers Fanfic, just to see if it is fun! (*ゝω・)ﾉ

I don't know if it's just my TikTok algorithm or if everyone is seeing it, but lately I've seen so many authors not only dropping their fanfics but also complaining out loud that fanfiction is dying.
          
          I even had one of my fav fanfiction authors make a post about how fanfiction is dying because no one is reading or caring about it anymore.
          
          And...they're kind of right?
          
          Which is like...a crazy thing in my mind because back when I started reading fanfics, it was like a whole new world of support, love, and dedication. To this day some of the best fanfics I've ever read were posted before 2022 or even the 2010s. Back then (I sound way too old ), you would spam comments like Sasuke's Susanoo was after your head.
          
          But now that I think about it, with TikTok and fanfiction being more "known," I also see how much this fanfiction world has changed. More people come from TikTok to Wattpad, not from...Google searching ships you like until you see a link to a fanfiction written by an ambitious shipper. And they just don't really...understand how fanfiction works?
          
          Like, are people seriously saying that shipping non-canon people is weird?! How do you think fanfiction started? The first fanfics were freaking Star Trek fanfics about Spirk?! This is our whole point, yo! ((T_T))
          
          Not gonna lie, nothing beats the comment sections of 2018 where people would show up with the best freaking comments on Earth, and everyone was joking and giggling. The best time to write, ig. (^^)d

@tzumitumi Now I see people discussing what to comment on and what not to comment on, which is crazy. The only time you shouldn't comment is when you have something bad or disrespectful to say. All other times, go for it! I love responding to comments, and I know many other authors love it just as much! (^3^)
            
            I see other fanfiction authors, also from 4kota, not posting, which could honestly have something to do with how new chapters are being seen as something you just created with no hard work, and are being treated with nothing.
            
            Maybe it has something to do with how right now we are in the winter exam session, and everyone has so much to do before the winter break. 
            
            Maybe fanfiction is dying? I don't know, I've just been seeing more and more authors talking about it, and maybe there are one or two authors here who also see this and maybe even feel unappreciated. I would love to hear your opinions on it. I am really curious if it's just me seeing it or others too.
            
            Sorry for the not-so-fun and cute post, I just wanted to speak out about this topic.

          The new chapter is going to connect some stuff I have been hinting at for many chapters. I would advise you to read through chapters 22 and 28 (not completely, but like the first half), then chapters 30 and 32. These will be important too. Plus, the Act Three chapter and the last chapter are also connected.
          
          So...in total, things are going to be hard! Can you say that? Are things hard? Are things hot? Something is going to happen, and it's CR–A–ZY! (*_*)
          
          Hopefully...for me, it's crazy and cool. But mostly exciting! (*･∀･*)

            I cannot thank you enough for your text! It really made me smile so hard to read it! It's getting harder to keep my mood up if there's no mood to work with, I won't lie. I will still post the next chapters of Act Four. Still, I am the happiest and most motivated when I get comments about how people think about certain chapters, their opinions, and the fun they have. @tzumitumi I totally understand. I will always and forever love getting them done, and honestly, they bring out a new, confident side of me—although my twin brother would disagree. But what does he know? He’s been sleeping this whole time on our birthday, I might add (⁠ノ⁠ಠ⁠益⁠ಠ⁠)⁠ノ.
            
            I don’t think my only reason for living is that bad… right? (⁠ ⁠･ั⁠﹏⁠･ั⁠)
            
            I mean, you’re an amazing author.     ⊂⁠(⁠´⁠･⁠◡⁠･⁠⊂⁠ ⁠)⁠∘⁠˚⁠˳⁠°
            with a compelling story that I can’t wait to see the ending of, and I’d honestly be heartbroken if you left for too long. Regarding your post about people not making fanfiction or commenting, I can totally relate. I’ve never posted anything I’ve written, but seeing the decline in fanfics is really painful. My only hope is that fanfiction, Wattpad, and AO3 don’t become relics, and that people continue to find passion in writing—because while one person might drop their fanfic, another could be inspired to write the prologue to their own, and so on and so forth.
            
            As for commenting, I still find it awkward to comment sometimes, but I always try to put myself in the author’s shoes. Those comments are actually one of the best ways to give feedback and show support, because you want them to know you enjoy their work instead of it feeling like you’re just communicating with a ghost (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠) .
