Read the first chapter of my (humorous) novel  "Queen of Clubs" on my website simongjohn.com . In the novel a  Hollywood star, a Russian "business" man and a former great English rugby player all get involved in a west Wales village and its lowly rugby club. The club teetering on the brink of oblivion has a formidable female chair - the "Queen", a club treasurer who cooks the books and a bunch of local sponsors who rarely see eye to eye. The club has one asset - not its players - but its ground.
