Today at school we were learning about feminism since yesterday was national women’s day and we have to right an essay about how men and women aren’t treated equally. I wrote about the difference in a women’s income compared to a mans and my dad ending up seeing my essay and looked at me and said “This isn’t true. Why are you lying in your essay.” It took literally every once in my body not to throw something at him. It’s a real problem! Another thing I wrote about was school dress codes being sexist. For instance, over 90% of my school dress code applies to girls while 10% or less applies to boys. Girls are considered distractions to boys by the way they dress. Maybe if boys weren’t taught to always look at a girl a certain way this wouldn’t be such a problem! Maybe you should teach them how to act appropriately instead of pulling me from class and taking my education away because I’m a “distraction.”
