Dear readers,
          
          I have been absent on here for a very long time. I also have not written anything in more than a year.
          I wanted to inform you that British Rose won't be continued. I am still very fond of writing and will continue to write for myself.
          But I realized I'm not comfortable with writing fanfiction anymore. At least not about real people. For that reason, there won't be any more updates on British Rose. I have the story planned out, but as stated, I don't feel comfortable with writing it anymore. That's really all I want to say about that.
          I'm sorry if any of you were waiting for an update, I was, too. ;) 
          
          Thank you for reading. It means the world to me that there were people following this story for quite a while, as I was so slow with updating it. For the time being, I enjoyed writing it, but that time has passed for me.

Wow, I managed to half-keep my promise and upload that new chapter before I go back to work tomorrow!

Author's note:
          I haven't yet finished Chapter 14 but it's on its way. For the upcoming chapters taking place in London, I will pretend that all the 'famous' main characters (that includes Harry, Niall as well as some others) are able to walk around the city and visit places unbothered by paps or fans. For the sake of my own sanity as a writer ;). I hope you can forgive me this slight twist of reality and still enjoy the story. 
          There is one scene in Chapter 14 addressing this issue, which I will keep in the story to tie it into the narrative.

          It's been a while. I have started working full-time in September and unfortunately, the small amount of free time I have during work weeks leaves no room for extensive writing sessions. However, I am on holiday now and hope to publish a new chapter of British Rose this week.

          I don't have an update on British Rose ready for you yet (but soon!), but I just wanted to tell the new ones (and anybody that doesn't know ;) ) that I have a Spotify Playlist for the story. It's part writing motivation, part inspiration for the story and sometimes chapter titles are related to songs from that playlist, so you might get some additional info/context from that.

          I originally wanted to build up  a posting schedule so you would get chapters more regularly, but I don't think I can keep that up :( . So I hope you are not too sad that the chapters are coming so irregularly. I still love writing this story a lot, so I hope you stick around for further adventures of Charlotte and Harry.

Hey people,
          I personally don't like being left on read so I wanted to give you a little explanation on why I haven't been updating and probably won't for a while.
          So, truth is, I have a lot of personal stuff going on, the two main things that are on top of my priority list are my part-time job and applying for jobs. Sadly, together with other things, this leaves me pretty tired and not motivated to write a lot of the time. 
          I have a whole set of ideas for British Rose, the plot is outlined and it would have fitted very well with the season, but I just don't have the time and energy to write it now. 
          I'm really sorry, but it just doesn't do me any good to feel this pressure about something that used to energize and excite me.
          I will notify you as soon as I know when British Rose will continue. 
          In the meantime, I hope you don't lose interest (that story is very dear to my heart) and I will see you soon.
          
          TL;DR: Due to working and personal problems my current WIP is currently paused.
