Hey! Not trying to be rude, but I'm not sure you understand the situation. Basically an author wrote a story called "Dear Emmet" and worked on it with all her passion and effort and strength, whenever she could.

Then along comes the author of "Dear Deegan" Who has the exact same plot and a very similar situation. The author of Dear Emmet asked the author of Dear Deegan to take it down nicely, but she refused. So now all her are fans take the matter into hands.

Honestly we all know that Dear Emmet is copyrighted so the author of Dear Deegan could get in trouble with the law. This is why she should take it down.

Hope you understand now. Again not trying to be rude.

@MistyO6DD I very much do understand. But if wattpad said they couldn't do anything about it and they can't do anything about it. She has a very slim chance of getting sued or anything because its not really word for word. she changed the names and didn't even write complete chapters. Its not exactly copywrite, but I see your point. If the author of Dear Deegan doesn't want to take it down and she gets introuble with the law then thats her fault. if she loves writing the damn story does it really matter? other people on wattpad do the same exact thing. I don't even think the author of Dear Emmet should've told the fans to take it down because that's when everything got out of hand because she can't garuntee that the fans will do it nicely, thus cyberbulling. if the author of Dear Emmet really wanted to take the story down she should've left it in her own hands and made a case or something, because apparently the author of Dear Deegan isn't taking her story down anytime soon and this banter is completly pointless.

            Hope you understand now.
