just finished reading "renegades" by marissa meyer, and i'm sad to say it really disappointed me :/
          i'll put up my review in a bit, but i really liked the pitch (enemies-to-lovers, cool superpowers, futuristic dystopia, anarchists) so it's sad how shallow the worldbuilding & characters ended up being. i'm also like 99% sure marissa meyer did zero research into what anarchism actually is as an ideology, which is even more :/. i don't want to have to be a buzzkill here but if you're going to use an actual real life ideology by name in your writing you should at least do a vague google search on that ideology.

just found a copy of the original throne of glass draft, queen of glass, and Oh Boy Am I Having A Bad Time. a quick read through of the first several chapters has reminded me of why i took so long to read throne of glass.
