Thanks for taking time to read my second attempt at a full lenght novel. I have posted the first couple chapters of The Seventh Soldier for your enjoyment.
I'm new at this so, please be patient, every so often I'll post more chapters. Not sure how that will work, but here goes.

Premise

When a meteor lands on the outskirts of town, Ed a local of Dakota Springs, discovers a small child hidden inside.  Fearful of what the local authorities might do, he raises her as his own. Twenty seven years later Abbey begins to piece together the truth of her birth. She is not of this world. 
As Abbey searches the clues of her mysterious birth, unexplained images of a ravaging plague surface in her mind.  A plague that leaves crops and farmers’ fields a barren waste. When Homeland security shows up in her little town, a terrifying reality sets in. The visions are coming to pass.
With only a handful of visual clues, Abbey is caught up in a manhunt lead by Home Land Security to track down the virus, a virus that has begun to drive many of the townspeople to the edge of madness. 

As an author, I have written and directed successful community plays of a similar genre, titled, A Criminal Mind, The Surf Gods, and What I Wish My Father knew. Chapters of The Seventh Soldier have also been featured on the Quick Brown Fox.
