[  he slurred,  trying his best to to sit up but wincing at the pain and squeezing his eyes shut.  he should've guessed this would happen—  his suit doesn't provide much protection when someone shoots at him.  ]   it's not that bad,  right..?   [  he said quietly,  clutching at the wound with his hand.  ]
