I think I finally found my story.

After months of writing, rewriting, and throwing away ideas that didn't feel right, I started over.
And I'm so glad I did.

Blackwater: A Family of Lies is a South African family drama inspired by the kind of stories we grew up with, where Sunday lunches are loud, church comes before everything, gossip travels faster than taxis, and every family has secrets they'd rather take to the grave.

I've officially published 10 chapters, and I'm genuinely proud of how this story is growing.

If you love messy families, betrayal, humour, shocking secrets, and characters that feel like people you actually know, then welcome to Blackwater.

I'd really love to know what you think so far. ❤️

✨ Who is your favourite Tendeni so far? ✨ Who do you trust the least? ✨ And if you were invited to one of their Sunday lunches... would you actually go?

Every vote, comment, and thought means more than you know. It keeps me writing and reminds me there are people walking through Blackwater with me.

          	See you in Chapter 11.

A little update from me...

First of all, thank you to everyone who's been reading my stories, whether you've been here since the beginning or you've only just found my page.

          I've been a little quiet because I've been writing... a lot. ✍

While Everyone Knows Kai is complete, I'm also working on two very different stories.

Blackwater: Family Lies (10 chapters are already out!) A story about secrets, betrayal, power, and a family whose biggest enemy might just be themselves.

Izithembiso Zabanye A story that's incredibly close to my heart, and one I'm taking my time with because I want to do it justice.

I have so many ideas I can't wait to share with you, and I hope you'll stay on this journey with me.

If you've read any of my stories, I'd really appreciate it if you could leave a vote or a comment. Even something as simple as your favourite line, character, or chapter means the world to me. Your support motivates me to keep writing, especially on the days when the words don't come easily.

Every reader matters. Every comment makes me smile. Every vote reminds me that these stories are reaching someone.

Thank you for being here. The best is still to come.

A little message from the author...

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Everyone Knows Kai is officially complete. ❤️

This is my first ever novel, and I'm so grateful to everyone who's taken the time to read even a single chapter. Writing Kai's story has taught me so much, and I'll always be proud that this was the story I chose to tell first.

If you've been reading quietly, I'd genuinely love to hear from you. What's been your favourite observation? Which character did you connect with the most? Did any chapter stay with you after you finished reading?

Your comments mean more than you know. They help me grow as a writer, and honestly, they make all the late nights worth it.

If you've enjoyed the story, please consider leaving a vote and sharing your thoughts in the comments. Every vote, every comment, and every bit of feedback reminds me that someone was here, reading alongside Kai.

Thank you for giving my very first book a chance. I hope Everyone Knows Kai found a small place in your heart the way it will always have one in mine.

          With love,

I've been quietly working on something that's incredibly close to my heart.

          It's called Everyone Knows Kai.

It's a slow, character-driven novel about university, friendship, awkward conversations, familiar strangers, bus rides, coffee, growing up, and the quiet ways people change each other without even realizing it.

          There's no chosen one.
          No murder mystery.
          No love at first sight.

          Just life.

If you've ever loved stories like Normal People or Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, I hope this feels like coming home.

The first observation is coming soon, and I genuinely can't wait to share Kai's world with you.

I hope you'll walk through it with me.
