@urlocalwingman as a depressed individual who's dreams has been crushed long ago, it also fills me with joy to know that I'm not the only one suffering, but alot of people are suffering. We really have to thank our society for valuing respect over love, dreams, mental health and what not. And of course, the big boy, stress. I bet all parents and older individuals of the Indian society who are oh so "wise and cultured" sleep well knowing that they made their children choose the path of death, and i mean literally because let's be real. Most of the suicides which occur in India are mainly because of tremendous stress which students have to go through and it doesn't matter what age. Yayyyyy depression. And even if the student dies, all the sympathy goes to the parents "why did the child commit suicide, now his/her parents have to suffer" but no one ever bats and eye about how the student was suffering and his/her parents could/couldn't also be the reason for their suicide, because the Indian society doesn't take failure for an answer. 77% of india population is stressed, and it's not the CEO's, it's not the Government that's for sure, it's the children who are stressed, the same 16-18 children who don't know shit. Society will say that you have to take up an exam which 24 lakh people are attending and you will have your life set. But they don't know that there are other jobs other than because a doctor or an engineer. Oh the horror of the society when a child chooses a career other than doctor and engineering. Society says that children are too young and yet they expect immature teenagers who dont know their favourite to decide what they will do for the rest of their life!! And even if they are talented in other fields or have some sort of interest, it is ignored because *dumroll please* it's not pcmb.
This is @JennaAckerman_ and welcome to my ted talk
