I was showed this site by an ex and I've been told I'm good at writing, but I don't see it. 

He doesn't seem to be able to see how truly gifted he is. He is an amazing writer, but he does make simple mistakes, but don't we all. If you are looking for great writing and are patient enough to wait for more because writing something amazing takes time and effort then you have found the right person.
