I'm a freelance journalist. My bylines have appeared in Time Out New York, The New Orleans Advocate, Huffington Post, BRIDES, The Bitter Southerner, Thrillist, Jackson Free Press, xoJane, Thought Catalog, Punchnel's, Neutrons/Protons, Gambit Weekly and a number of anthologies.

I majored in English at Louisiana State University before getting my MFA in fiction from the University of New Orleans. From 2009 to 2016, I was special sections editor at Gambit, where I penned and produced fashion and health features.

When I'm not writing, I'm reading, running, biking or playing keyboards and singing backup vocals with Shouts & Murmurs and Sexparty. Recently, I rekindled my relationship with my tenor sax. Still working on getting those chops back.
