Short AU: Everything is black and white until you “get close” with your soulmate and their eyes are the first colors you see then everything else lights up with colors too.
          
          We all laughed and I looked straight ahead of me to my best friend. I stare at her eyes and smile unconsciously. After a few moments a small thing of light shone through. Her eyes turned into copper dipped under caramel bedazzled with a million gems inside. Out came some more specks of light. A deep color of stereotype blue, a flaming bright light with citrus fruit acids, a plain vanilla wall, and even a continuous pattern of the color I almost always saw and a bright one. I stare around the room in awe. “What is it?” One of my friends ask. “Don’t you see it?” I smile into my “best friend’s” eyes. I have a small flashback of me looking up ‘what happens when I find my soulmate’. I wait for her answer and she replies a small, “see what?” She asked in complete and udder confusion.
