Could I ask you for some input on a creature or two I'm working on for RWBY, please?

@Basilisk01 The lemur Drake's chromatophores. Have you thought of how the different kinds of dust would change one of these

@utkaforlife Which would you say is/are your favorite Verandertiers? Or what are your favorite aspects of each?

@utkaforlife I would say that while the Erljack excels at repairing any damage it receives, it cannot replace any destroyed parts save for the tail and teeth, and perhaps eyes (?). They're at odds with humans and other Verandertiers as Erljacks see them as natural competitors. Whether Erljacks give rise to new forms depends on if an ecosystem or region they're in proves difficult to thrive in or requires specializations to thrive in, which is easier said than done as Erljacks are quite versatile. They "rapidly reproduce" in the sense that they breed year round, not tied to any season. Other Verandertiers actually have explosive population growth compared to the Erljack, namely the Reaper Gull and the residents of the Pit of Decay, but are usually less versatile and powerful. It should be noted that healing is not limited to Erljacks; other Verandertiers, depending on the species, can range from healing wounds to growing back limbs to even growing back from lost parts. What makes the Erljack special is that it can heal QUICKLY. But if overtasked it could either take much longer to heal or barely able to. Worst case scenario is them being forced to use the mechanism thats intended to grant a select few to become an Erlking and instead take on a Volatile form, which is stronger but less intelligent and more aggressive and prone to malformations.
