hey i have a question that might seem a little strange, but why do you use oil as a noun adjunct to describe the sky? Ive seen this type of imagery before but I wanted your answer.

@lacedscorpion hey! there’s a few reasons why I used ‘oil-black sky’. I visualise the sky looking like syrupy tar, so kinda dense and suffocating like no light can appear. I associate light with hope and hope is an important theme in thg and to my oc, so by saying oil-black i’m trying to create a feeling of dread and oppression.
