Arriving in the village after dark, Nicolae hadn't expected to see anyone, after all the people here were aware of the dangers that the night brought. Shaking his head faintly, the dark haired vampire slowly made his way through the sleeping village. His normal routine wouldn't work here and it would be far to risky for him to even try, but he wanted to delay heading to Castle Frankenstein for as long as possible. And so, moving towards the closest house, he knocked twice against the wooden door, unknown to him that the house belonged to a certain princess.

@seductiveimpulse Anna looked at the man seeing he was suspicious of something yet she didn’t know what. Eventually it will come out of him with an interrogation. “And why would I want to do that? Many terrible things always seem to happen when I lower my weapon especially in the night. Duke or not, I do not lower my weapons to any strangers.” She told the man. Half of her didn’t believe him of who he says he is. She could care less of him anyway, the only thing her focus was on now was staying alive and getting rid of all vampire kind.

@valeriousprincess He should have expected her answer, but he was still caught off guard by the fact the village had no inn. Pressing his lips together in a thin line, Nicolae raised his brows slightly when the woman opened the door, dagger aimed at his chest. So this was the famous Anna Valerious. Of course he had heard of the family who swore to rid the world of his kind, but this was the first time meeting a member of the family. Recovering himself quickly, the dark haired vampire gave the brunette a small bow. "I suppose I don't look much like a traveler," he mused, a low laugh falling from his lips as he eyed the extravagant coat he wore. "I'm a Duke from a neighboring town. You can put that away my dear," he continued, gesturing to the dagger with a brief wave of his hand. With the way this night was going, Nicolae was starting to think that perhaps he should have just gone straight to Castle Frankenstein.

@seductiveimpulse Anna paused for a moment to think of a reply but one that was truthful and not a lie. “This village does not have and inn. We don’t take kindly to strangers much less travelers.” Anna pulled her dagger out of its letter covering ready to strike if necessary. She took a deep breath before opening the door and standing in front of the entrance to both block and see the traveler. She raised one eyebrow as she examined the man. “You for sure do not look like any traveler,” The said pointing the dagger at him but he was far enough from it not to get hurt, well at least not yet anyways.

The sky was dark when Aleera landed in the village, the clouds covering the pale light of the moon. Things were silent, although that wasn't a surprise given the late hour of her arrival. As she stalked forwards, her bare feet not making a sound against the ground, a sly smirk slowly crept onto her lips. Normally she would have come to feed, tonight however, the red head came for a different reason. She wished to pay an old 'friend' a visit. With a gracefulness only a vampire could possess, she sprung from the ground, momentarily turning into her bat form to gain height before landing lightly on the window of Anna's room, her long pink gown replacing her wings.

@ragingbride Anna growled slightly of frustration that was growing due to the vampire. If there was any vampire she hated the most, it was Aleera. Always playing tricks and messing with her, making her lose her focus on what she was really trying to do which was to rid of all vampire kind. Every time she got closer to doing so, Aleera would step in the way trying to muse herself by using Anna as some sort of toy, like a child playing with its toys. She had always caused her to be distracted. Anna could not wait for the day that Aleera would be rid of the world along with the torcher she had always brought to Anna. “If you have something planned you might as well do it or just be on your way and leave me be.”

@valeriousprincess Her twisted grin widened at the brunette's words, clearly amused by Anna's reaction. "Such harsh words from such a pretty face," she mused, head falling to the side causing her wild curls to bounce with the movement. They were almost chest to chest, although the close proximity had no effect on the vampire. She was known for being rather clingy, always invading others' space. Why would it be any different with Anna? "What do I want? Where would be the fun in telling you that?" she questioned, thick Transylvanian accent clouding her words. It was more entertaining to play with the Princess, to torment her, get under her skin.

@ragingbride Anna nearly stumbled over when the redhead pulled her off the bed and to her feet. “It is if that old friend is you,” She said with her brows eyes narrowed at the vampire. Once she regained her balance Anna stood straight and was face to face with the redhead, they were nearly inches from each other. They looked about the same height. “What do you want Aleera? Have I done anything to you recently that I do not remember?” Anna said trying to stall the vampire while thinking of how to get her weapons or get out of the house.

The village was dark and silent when she arrived, most of the villagers having gone to sleep. Bare feet landed silently on the cold ground, her body shifting from its vampiratic form back to human. Dark eyes wandered the quiet village momentarily, though not expecting to see any forms of life. She had chosen this time for a reason, and Verona didn't make mistakes. Slowly, she wandered further towards the middle of the village, the only sound the soft rustling of her dress as she walked.

"When you grow older, you will come to understand what it is like," the dark haired woman told her. The girl was young, naïve even, that she had no real grasp of how the world worked. In a sense, Verona was rather reminded of herself, long before she had to grow up and face the truth. Her parents had not loved her. She was an heir, ready to take the throne from them when they passed through. And in time, Anna would realise she too was nothing more than a puppet piece for her father, to be used in his hatred against Vladislaus. And what then would that bring her, but pain and misery? Death, in a sense, was much kinder fate than to be burden with the problems of the parents.

@vampxrebride “I don’t understand,” Young Anna said softly. It didn’t make sense to her, given the fact she herself has never gone through what Verona did. “My father is a king and he seem to have all the time in the world for my brother and I,” The girl had loved her family and had missed her mother very much yet not much had changed after her passing. Her father and brother were still the same as was she. “If I left... I would for sure never even think of it. I would be leaving everything and everyone I’ve ever known and loved,” She said looking up at the woman carefully.

"I had no siblings and my parents were a baron and a baroness. They had no time for me," she told her, knowing the gypsy princess would not truly understand how real royalty worked. Her parents had handed her off to be raised by the staff, to be groomed and trained as a future bride. Yet Verona had been rather headstrong in her younger days, and she hadn't wished for such a fate. And when Vladislaus arrived, demon or not, he was her way out of that life. It had helped that she loved him, something she certainly didn't feel for the man who had supposed to become her husband. "I was an only child, dear Anna. I was leaving nothing behind."

"Hello Anna." Aleera greeted the brunette with a large grin on her face, on that revealed her teeth, thick Transylvanian accent slipping through. Cocking her head to the side, the red head approached the other girl with a predatory glint in her hazel eyes.

@ragingbride Anna backed away from the vampire keeping a cautious eye on her every move. “I am. Running away may not get me anywhere but I know something that might,” she told the red head bride hoping to fool her with what she would say next. If Anna had the choice of what vampire to be in this situation with, she wouldn’t have even considered Aleera for Anna held a grudge against her that she vowed never to forget.

Shaking her head at the brunette's foolish choice, the red head flashed around to the other side of the door, leaning casually against the door frame. A cruel laugh rang from her lips as Anna opened the door only to come face to face with the vampire. "Now, now Anna, running away will get you nowhere," she taunted, cocking her head to the side. "I thought you were smarter than that Princess."

@ragingbride Anna watched the vampire carefully as she moved back farther away from her. She took a quick glance behind her to make sure nothing would be in her way behind her but she spotted a door. Anna looked back at the redhead with caution and back away farther. When she was close enough she turned around to open the door for her escape.

“Hello Anna, my dear,” Verona stated, her eyes locked into the human girl before her, her hands laced behind her back. She made no move towards the girl, as if simply content to remain where she was. “It has been a long time, has it not?”
valeriousprincess
“It seems you are mistaken. It is not my time that it is up,” She said cleverly knowing something the vampire didn’t know. Each Transylvanian villager knew better to keep weapons or holy water with them in their homes. While Anna was trying to distract the vampire she was looking around where the villager who had lived here had put their devices of defense against the ‘demons and thought she had found it. Anna got up from the floor of where she was thrown to and walked over to a small door on the floor and pulled out a bottle of holy water. “It is your time that is up.”

She was off the rafters in a heartbeat, her feet landing silently on the ground below her. Her hand found Anna's shoulder, flinging her away from the door with apparent ease. Turning slowly, the dark haired vampire faced the human girl, her dark eyes growing colder with each passing second. She was only willing to tolerate such things for so long. Unlike Aleera, she had no interested in playing games with the human, toying with her like a cat would with a mouse. Slowly, she stalked towards the girl. "Your time is up Anna. Did you really think that delaying me would distract /me/?" she asked calmly.

@vampxrebride When Anna felt her back touch the door a small smirk appeared upon her face. Her hand slowly moved toward the knob and gripped it tightly once she had a hold of it. “It seems we are,” She said and twisted the knob hard to open the door but it wouldn’t open. It seemed as though the door was locked. Anna’s smirk disappeared as she rapidly tried twisting the knob before turning around and kicking at the door. She was determined to get out not caring if she had broken the locked door.
