just finished the finale of stranger things and i have a lot of mixed emotions. but basically, do i think this was the greatest season of stranger things? no. however, do i think this was the best ending for the show? absolutely.

I wholeheartedly agree. There were so many parallels and little hidden details that I noticed at least that really tied the whole show together. I’ll miss it forever

huge love-hate relationship with s5 of stranger things, i think you can just so clearly tell that most of the cast and the writers are over this show and just want it done.
          
          also, the whole "only 8-12 episodes per season" rule is gonna be the death of so many shows and television as a whole :(

( @melodicserendipity ) that's crazy, one of the best parts of season 4 was the tension and build-up, but they've completely discarded that this season. it's like they're just throwing shit at a wall and making it stick. i just hope they'll be able to salvage something good out of it :/

@vampyheart yess like maybe if the finale were 3 hrs the events and fighting would be a little less slower and more tense. but apparently only an hour and 30 mins of the finale is them fighting and the other 30 minutes is an epilogue aka the time skip meaning it will most def feel rushed

( @melodicserendipity ) literally, which wouldn't be an issue if they had more than 8 episodes to flesh out ideas but they don't, and they don't exactly use the hour long run time the way it should be used. i feel like no matter what the finale will feel a little rushed, but i just hope the ending itself is satisfying enough for me to forgive it lmao
