          I’m really sorry to slide into your space like this—I just came across your profile and noticed you enjoy emotional, character-driven stories. My friend has recently started sharing a story that’s really close to her heart, and I thought you might love it too.

Hello, there. How’s it going?
          
          I know this might be kind of strange/awkward since we haven’t formally met, but would you mind giving me some honest feedback on my story “The City of Lost Souls”? Just a heads up, it’s a bit of a sensitive topic, so if you’re not into that, my book “Legends” is probably my best.
          
          I can also give you feedback on one of your stories as well (preferably a shorter one in the works, opposed to a long one that is already complete), but I know not everyone is into the whole “read 4 read” thing. 
          
          If you’re interested, awesome. If not, please be respectful and simply don’t respond, and leave it at that. I don’t really know any other way to get more feedback on my story other than to just reach out and ask people up front, so yeah...
