that hasn’t been the exact case in the uae, maybe in ras al khaimah or fujairah, but not the other emirates. 

very well said. like for eg. my uncle lived in kuwait for only two years and he was like in his 30s. he came back to the uae speaking fluent arabic. why? because he was interacting with the locals there and they spoke only arabic and even expats spoke arabic there.
