@vegashoney75 awe thank you for your kind words! Dad's lack of judgment has cost him a great deal and I used to get frustrated that his talent and genius had gone to waste. But he is still alive and there is still time to make things right. He definitely isn't a quitter and has grown up a lot and learned about consequences. I guess some of us are slower learners. Better late than never, right :)
@RebeccaEBoyd absolutely! Your dad's story is fascinating, it's heartbreaking to see someone with the intelligence and talent of your dad struggle and try and not get a break. It's admirable that he has the courage to share his story, knowing it's not all pretty and putting it out there for people to judge. You are a great daughter to help, encourage and support him. I wish the best for both of you.
