¹  kyu has chronic tinnitus alongside hearing loss.  this happened after the first time he shot a gun.
            
            ²  kyu openly wears both glasses and hearing aids.  while the hearing aids are helpful  ,  they're not a requirement.  on top of that  ,  his vision is perfectly fine.  in his mind  ,  people underestimate people with obvious weaknesses.
            
            ³  he refuses to pledge loyalty to anyone.  while he may work for people  ,  he'll just as easily betray them.  
            
            ⁴  currently  ,  kyu is employed primarily to guard makarov's assets.  from possessions to people  ,  kyu does it all. 
            
            ⁵  he's a self taught medic  ,  so he doesn't swear by his care.  it's the same with anything machine related.  

kyu has always had one objective :  money.
            
            he grew up an orphan and lived on the streets of the slums.  he ran around looking for any way to make just enough money to feed himself.  he did a lot of odd jobs in his youth  ,  but morals were irrelevant when in the face of starvation.
            
            it was during one of these jobs that he was kidnapped  —  except  ,  no one would come looking for him.  they were just taking unwanted property  —  that's what they so loudly told him.
            
            he was sold.  used.  taken advantage of.  they told him his face was pretty enough for him to be worth something  —  that he should be proud of that.
            
            he grew up like that and didn't get out of it until he was well into his teen years.  he was paid to kill them  —  given a gun and instructions.  
            
            he would have done it for free.  
            
            now out in the world again  ,  he took a different approach to things.  he joined gangs  ,  learned how to fight  ,  and grew expertly proficient in the use of firearms.
            
            everything he did from then on was not without mistrust.  he had learned from his childish mistakes.  
            
            working for makarov was just another paycheck to him.  he didn't care what he was doing  —  the money was good  ,  so he didn't ask questions.  he knew who the man was  ,  but that didn't mean he cared.
            
            kyu   could   be bought  ,  and he couldn't find the will to feel shame in that.
