here’s how my Like The Dawn writing process has been going: write, scrap, rewrite, scrap. 
          
          currently rewriting the whole book with significant changes but nothing to drastic, my apologies. 
          
          this has been going on since november btw 

“Like the Dawn” will be unpublished for a little bit, i’m not happy with how it is currently, so i’ll be doing some rewrites! Thank you for 2.35k, that’s literally insane and i love all of you mwah 

almost finished with chapter five, i also went back to edit the story a bit. 
          
          five should be out in within a day or two and after that i’ll start immediately working on chapter 6!

my apologies for not updating “like the dawn”, i am so burnt out and stressed, which has led me to taking a little over a month long hiatus, hopefully i can get a chapter or two out soon. i will keep you all updated.

          I HAVE been working on a new chapter, rn it only has 975 words, but it should be finished (hopefully) by friday. 

holy shit, sorry for falling off the face of the earth for 12 days. It’s mainly a mix of stressing over my last year of school and writers block. Anyways, i wanted to address some things (i’ll address them in the book as well) after seeing some tiktok videos about Stephanie Meyer and Twilight: 
          
          1. Jasper will NOT be a confederate soldier, i’m still working on the details of his new backstory. But, out of respect of my ancestors who were enslaved and the fact the main character of my book is a black woman, i will not romanticize the Civil War like Smeyer did. 
          
          2.  I will be recasting Jacob to be portrayed by an actual Indigenous actor. Because Taylor Lautner is a yt man. 
          
          3. ALL of Smeyer’s Mormon ideology is non existent in my book. Especially where she said that regardless of race and ethnicity vampires become pale white. 
          
          
          I’m currently working on the new chapter so it should be out sometime this week or next week, along with edits of previous chapters. thank you for the reads and votes! mwah
