          The gesture definitely made him lose hope- and Donatello got worried that he'd be walking back from the fight looking worse than expected. However, luckily for him, there were no cuts. Barely any swelling- but Donatello seemed more concerned with his hair and outfit anyway, rather than how tired or injured he looked. "I've probably got a few bruises, so an ice pack would still be pretty nice."
