My feed is flooded with reels saying that Wattpad is banning smut. The new guidelines say they’re banning stories that are primarily written for sexual arousal with no plot, along with stories containing non-consensual intimacy or any pedophilic content involving children. I think that’s okay, but some people are saying they’re fully banning smut. Like, whom am I supposed to believe? What’s wrong with these people spreading misinformation?!

@viera_07 wattpad isn't completely banning smut as long as a story actually has a real plot, character development, and explicit scenes between adults 18+, it's completely allowed what they are cracking down on is pure erotica with zero storyline basically content written strictly for arousal plus non-consensual stuff and anything with minors 
          	  
          	  If wattpad actually banned all smut, literally 80% of the app would vanish into thin air overnight and we’d all be reading blank pages

@viera_07 here’s the actual tea on what’s true and what’s not, so you don’t have to worry what’s true- wattpad is only cracking down on stories that are written solely for sexual arousal with absolutely no plot, plus anything involving non-consensual acts or minors. 
          	  what’s false-they are NOT fully banning smut. regular romance and mature stories are totally fine as long as there is an actual storyline and the characters are consenting adults 
          	  the misinformation spreading across tiktok and instagram has made so many writers and readers unnecessarily worried.

Hi author nim i have been currently reading ur story cages for love and it's been threee days i am crying daily because of the story sometimes tears is for kook someone for tae and sometimes it's for yn ur writing is next level i read a lot of stories before but i never cried this much it's feels like my heart is breaking i couldn't just control myself fron tearing up I'm currently on part 92 i don't know what gonna happen in further story but today my emotions just take over me so i want you to know about this
