was gonna go out and experience a “on a wednesday, in a cafe, i watched it begin again” type new year’s day, however it’s raining and the bus is only running once an hour instead of once every 10 minutes like it usually does so i will be committing to the mental state of a cafe whilst remaining in the coziness of my own room in pajama pants

just booked a singular ticket to see a weekday matinee of les mis as a coping mechanism for the election, doing great. (if you know theatre then you know that weekday matinees are old people hour so i am going to befriend all the little old ladies at les mis)

@Dannnyi45 feeling all of the same things. in case anyone hasn’t told you, it’s okay to not be okay. i’m not. but we will keep fighting in whatever capacity that looks like for each of us. because i know you work in theatre- you might find some hope in the cast album of suffs, if you’re not listening to it already. probably the most influential piece of theatre i have ever seen. a powerful reminder that all of the women who came before us had battles to fight, some ending in triumph and some ending in loss. either way, they were not silent and we won’t be either. here to listen if you need to talk <3
