    it made logan feel great in a way, knowing he was needed like this . that he could help provide the comfort needed . he would stay quiet about it though . `` take however long you need . im not going anywhere . `` he reassured . if anything, he would rather be away from patton's and roman's energy for a while now . he's had enough for a day .

            it reassured the nervousness gnawing away at his gut , it relieved him that logan was always so accommodating with these sort of things .  to virgil , logan WAS the comfort they often sought out whenever they were extremely overwhelmed or just needed a break like this .  “ i’m fine .  ” virgil finally answered , head remained resting upon logan’s shoulder even as he spoke .  “ i just..  need a minute .  maybe more .  ” 

     logan only shifted slightly, so he was more comfortable , but that was it . he didn't push them away . `` i could make you a warm beverage .. or we can stay like this if you prefer . ``

            “ you and janus are no different .  he maybe the liar but you still both exaggerate and stretch out the ‘truth’ or for lack thereof .  ” regardless , virgil wouldn’t take the words at face value .  his time within the dark sides taught him well in that , there was no trusting janus or remus .  even if he couldn’t completely protect thomas from them , the least he can do is to try and protect himself .  “ he isn’t like YOU .  roman has given me reasons to trust him  ,  you ?  not so much .  time and time again you or even JANUS haven’t proven yourselves very well .  ” his tone remained that of seriousness , though silence soon followed with the following words .  why did roman come to mind when remus mentioned that ?  if virgil was honest , he didn’t really know .  “ i—  (…)  it doesn’t matter .  there hasn’t been much of a reason NOT to trust nico .  i have my doubts  ,  sure .  but he’s proven himself to thomas so far as an upstanding guy and i want what’s best for thomas .  i’m the reason him and nico are together in the first place  ,  that and roman .  ”

    remus just grins at this . `` im not the type to lie , you of all people should know that virgil . `` he left the whole lying thing to janus , besides being honest was just much more fun in his opinion . at least most times . `` but do you know pissy that well ? people change , yes . they adapt . they get better at hiding things .. or WORSE  , they get better at performing . `` he gave a small dismissive shrug . `` but hey ! what do I know ? im just the bad guy in y'alls story , right? stirring the pot for funsies  .  if you're that sure, then you have nothing to worry about , right ? `` his smiles stretched , just a little too wide . `` besides who said I was referring to roman ? who said this wasn't about nico ? ``

            “ i know you’re just attempting to get a rise out of me so try and act all innocent !  ” virgil scowled , his entire body language tense but the former dark side stood their grown despite growing deeply ‘worried’ for a lack or better words .  “ some people but not him .  sure i know we weren’t always on the same foot and we still aren’t at times but i KNOW roman well enough .  he wouldn’t go through all the trouble just to lie to me .  ”

“Yeah, I’m..im fine with it.” He nodded.

            virgil groaned in annoyance , flopping over so their back was facing logan .  the other side was persistent if given the chance , something he both admired and hated .  “ it’s not that i’m not happy—  can’t i just have dome alone time once in awhile ?  ”

            it wasn’t an uncommon occurrence for virgil to have troubles with sleeping , though as if late its been better .  however , tonight seemed to be different , still..  he was grateful that logan just so happened to be there again .  “ yeah  ,  that’d be nice  ,  thanks..  ” they let out a breath , one that’s clearly been held since coming out from their room .

    logan lets out a hum in response to that. he typically was right with most stuff despite the occasional hiccups . `` would you like to watch something again ? `` he questioned as he closed the book he had sitting it aside
